About Valued Citizens Initiative

Valued Citizens Initiative is a Non-Government Organisation that provides Academic and Social Justice Support Programmes to various stakeholders – Learners; Educators; Senior Management Teams; Youth at Risk and Children in Conflict with the Law. Initially operating in Soweto as a pilot programme, the organisation has grown and spread its operations to three other provinces, namely: KwaZulu-Natal; Gauteng; Free State; Western Cape and Limpopo.

The primary objective of the organisation is to encourage the youth of South Africa to take responsibility for their civil rights, to abide by the rule of law and take pride in our national identity. This is reflected in all the eight programmes offered by the organisation which include leadership; social justice and life skills programmes supporting the curriculum.
